In-depth interviews (IDIs) are a great way to bring you face to face (or voice to voice) with your customer. IDIs happen in person, or over the phone (telephone IDIs), or via Skype and are yet another great qualitative approach to taking a deeper dive on your research objectives.
IDIs last between 20 minutes and one hour, and they can be scheduled throughout the day, whenever the target audience is most available. Because of the flexibility of the IDI approach, sometimes these in-depth interviews are conducted at any hour of the day or night.
